Childcare For Your Baby
Hi moms! This article will help you decide what kind of baby care
is right for you.
I’m fortunate to have a stay at home mom. I know not every mom
can, though. It may be time for you to go back to work. What will
you do with baby?
Whatever you decide, be sure it feels right. Whoever you choose,
will be spending a great deal of time with your infant.
Nanny
A nanny will cost the most. It would be the easiest option. You
won’t have to drop your child off or pick them up.
They can remain at home where they’re comfy with their toys
and familiar surroundings. The nanny will have her only focus on
your baby and no other.
Your little one won’t be exposed to as many illnesses that are
out there.
Questions
Who will take your nannies place if she can’t make it? Maybe an
illness or she wants a day or week off.
There are nanny services you could choose from. Are you sure
you can trust her?
Do a background check. If everything is good, how will you cope
if your baby grows fonder of the nanny? I read that sometimes
happens.
Home Daycare
You can find someone who will take your child into their home.
Some stay at home moms are willing to take care of a few others
too.
This is great if you want the baby in a house environment, but
can’t afford to have someone come to yours.
Be sure to have a backup though, in case she’s not available
sometime.
Daycare Center
A regular daycare center is the lowest cost option. (Unless a
grandma of your baby gives you a special deal).
Also, you won’t have to worry about someone not being available.
Your baby will get used to being around other kids.
The downside may be more sick days though, being exposed
to more germs.
Caretaker To Baby Ratio
Most Daycare centers have at least one caretaker per eight kids.
That may not be good enough for you.
That seems like a lot of babies for one person.
You may feel more relaxed with fewer babies to watch per
caregiver. Maybe five or six.
Ask Questions
Selecting your baby’s care arrangement is one of the most vital
decisions to make. Whichever one you decide on, be sure to ask
them questions you may have.
Let them know your concerns.
Also, stop in without them expecting you. See what kind of
care your baby is getting.
It’s important your child is getting the best care. It’s also vital
though, that your mind is at ease.
Good searching, have a great day!
