Things Moms Can Do During Nap Time
Hi moms! Hope you’re doing fine! I asked mom the other day what she
does when we take our nap.
She babysits other kids too, but sometimes they’re not here. Like on
weekends and holidays.
Sometimes the mom is on vacation.
Mom said she decides every morning when she has her coffee. Every
day is something different.
Below are some of the things she does. I also share some things other
moms do too.
Moms with small kids are very occupied, as you know. Especially, moms
with babies. They have to be changed, fed and held when they’re awake.
This means that moms have no time to carry out some things until nap
time. At times a mom can be tempted to take a nap, too.
Other than taking a nap, here are some things to do during nap time.
Take a Shower
Taking a shower before baby was something easy to do. With a little one
though, you may not have time to shower early in the morning.
Taking a shower later then, is one of the things you can do when baby
has one of her naps.
Get in a Workout
You can burn off some tension by getting in an exercise activity. It will
help you to relieve stress and also improve your overall health.
Exercises are known to trigger the release of a happy hormone
(endorphin). This can get you happy to take care of your baby once
she wakes up!
There are different quick workout routines that are designed for moms.
Always set aside 10-20 minutes for this at least 3 days a week.
” When your kiddo goes down for a nap it’s time to get things done. It’s a
common misconception that you need a lot of time to get in a good
workout.
However, by choosing short but effective workouts, you can have a killer
calorie-torching session in just 20 minutes.
These four workouts are all effective in different ways.” read more
Enjoy a cup of hot coffee
Many moms don’t get up early enough to enjoy a hot cup of coffee
in the morning. They do other things right away.
Like feeding their newborns, changing diapers, holding them, leaving
them with no time to prepare a cup of coffee.
It is only during nap time that they can prepare and enjoy a cup of hot
coffee to energize them when baby is awake again.
Clean Around The House
Though your desire is to do a thorough cleaning in the time your baby is
napping, there is a need to be realistic about what you can achieve.
Weigh the cleaning tasks that need to be done and start with simple and
doable ones like cleaning the kitchen counter.
Do one task at a time because baby can wake up anytime even
before you are done with what you were doing.
Make a list of the cleaning tasks you will be performing every time baby
takes a nap like cleaning the bathroom sinks.
You can also get the bookshelf in order, clean the living room and many
more other tasks.
You can straighten the area up if you have a toddler and he has left toys
in the way, or made a mess.
Keep in mind to avoid doing something noisy that can wake baby.
Prepare Dinner
You can start to prepare the dinner. It might make the the afternoon go
smoother as you get close to dinner time.
You can marinate the meat and cut the veggies. If you have a crockpot,
you could also get the dinner cooking already!
Phone A Friend
Most moms get on social media platforms such as Facebook and
Instagram whenever their little ones take a nap.
That’s okay, but maybe it would be better if you could call a friend who
you feel close to and share your experiences.
Make Some Extra Money
“you might want to consider filling out some surveys online. After all,
you can answer a few questions and then enjoy a tasty amount in your
bank account.
Just make sure you look online on a review site; read this first to
ensure you are using a legitimate site. That way, you know you are not
filling out surveys for pittance!” read more
If you’re a stay at home mom, you can look for other ways to make some
extra money during nap time too. You could do it every day.
Here are some possible ways to make extra money.
Stream Your Favorite Show
You can catch up on a show you’ve been getting behind on with all your
busy time.
You can even watch one over again if you fell asleep the last time
you watched it.
If you nap again while watching it, you can watch it again during baby’s
next nap!
Plan Before The Naps
“…plan what I’m going to do the night before. Or in this case, plan what
I’ll do when they nap and when they are in bed.
The “plan” may be take a bath and read a good book. Or the plan might
be to finish painting something, working, organizing clothes to donate,
or any other project or hobby around the house.” read more
OK, moms. I hope that helps. Gotta go…nap time! Have a great day!
